Spouse Visa - Category D - Savings

Post by amonga76 » Sun Feb 04, 2018 9:13 pm

Hi All,

I am working on applying for my spouse visa this month. I would like to use Category D in VAF - 4A form where by I have to show savings in excess of £62,500.
However, most of my cash savings are in ISA Stocks and Share.
Appendix FM 'Immigration Directorate Instruction Family Migration: Section 1.7
On Page 51, Section 7.4.4 says
"In the UK a ‘stocks and shares’ Individual Savings Account (ISA) does meet the definition of a savings account and the funds can be considered as cash savings if all the requirements above are met".

I have two problems:
1. The company where I have 'Stocks and shares' ISA does not gives any printed statements. Statement is available only online.
2. There is no way to get a daily statement. As statement is automatically generated when account position changes. So I only have few statements every month and that too only online.
I have asked the ISA provider company about printed statements but they do not have any process to generate one.

Has anyone submitted their Spouse settlement visa application using Category D in full or partially?
I contacted the Home Office call centre, but did not get any definitive reply.

Looking forward to advice and guidance from people here.

Thanks,
Ashish
