Family Visa Help (fiance)

Post by matti2332 » Fri Feb 09, 2018 9:09 pm

Firstly thankyou for taking the time to read my query.

Is the income requirement of £18,600 for a 'first application' fiance visa or for an extended family visa?

The problem is, without being married or in a civil partnership, she cannot work in the UK. I cannot meet the £18,600 on my own.
Once we are married she can work and our combined income will cover the £18,600.

Once you are married you are then required to apply for an extended family visa as a spouse.

So does anyone know if our application for a fiance family visa will be considered.

Not if you (as the sponsor) aren't earning a minimum of £18,600 p.a and this is requirement at the fiance application stage.

There is no 'extended family' category under the Immigration Rules. After you are married (within 6 months) under the fiance visa, your wife would then apply for a 2.5 year FLR(M) extension, when you would again have to prove that you alone meet the minimum income level.

What is your annual income at present? Do you have any savings?
