ILR SET(M) - Bank Statements Stamp

Post by Blues1 » Sat Feb 10, 2018 10:27 pm

Hi All,

We are applying for ILR using SET(M) form under the 5 year route for spouse of a British Citizen.

We have almost all the documentation ready for our Premium Service Appointment on Wednesday.

There only problem I have is I ordered bank statements 2 weeks ago from Natwest and was told it would take 3-5 days to arrive. As I hadn't received these in post, On Tuesday 6 Feb I ordered them again and so far I haven't received them still.

In my online Natwest mailbox, a PDF version of any correspondence they send appears, so there is a PDF of the ones they posted available (it appears day after I requested the paper ones be posted). So I have printed these and took these to my local branch, and the lady at the branch kindly stamped and signed these.

My question is, the first stamp she added was the one they normally use for passport/other docs which starts with "I certify this to be a true copy of the original......" with her name, position, location and date put in plus her signature. The second stamp she used is:
Line 1: 4th+5th letter of postcode of the branch plus 3 numbers
Line 2: Town name
Line 3: Sort code of the branch.

None of the stamps have the bank name on it. Would these statements still be okay?

Should be fine, try and get a business card (of the person who signed) attached to the statements
My comments do not constitute immigration advice, if in doubt consult an immigration adviser/solicitor

Thanks. Wishing I had asked for the business card of the lady who stamped it.

I wasn't sure if the stamp they used would be acceptable (even though I guess it can be considered the official branch stamp as it has sort-code), as on the requirements for bank statements UKVI mention "...which bear the official stamp of the issuing bank on every page". So I would have thought it would be a stamp with Natwest written on it.

Has anyone got their statements stamped at Natwest before? What kind of stamp did they use?

I used a printed and stamped bank statement from NatWest for my FLR and it was fine.
