Applicants can submit a settlement application up to 28 days before they would
reach the end of the specified period.
You must calculate the relevant qualifying period by counting backward from
whichever of the following is most beneficial to the applicant:
• the date of application
• the date of decision
• any date up to 28 days after the date of application
Can anyone please explain what does above paragraph means?
can any one explain please, i have confusion calculating continuous leave? and gap between changing employers:

Tier 2 Granted 26-03-2013 - 25-12-2015
Change to employer B: visa granted on 04-09-2014- 17-09-2017 (job started with employer B on 24-09-2014, almost after 20 days, was working with employer A till 14-09-201 because BRP received on 14-09-2014 )
Change to employer C: visa granted on 08-03-2016 till 24-03-2019 (got approval letter on 25-02-2016 but on BRP visa start date 08-03-2016, worked with employer B till 29-02-2016 )

Thanks in advance

Help required - Tier 2 G to ILR

Post by Al33 » Sun Feb 18, 2018 4:11 pm

Hi Moderators,

Set (O), Section 12D
For the period before you were granted leave as a Tier 2 migrant, documents showing that
you met the relevant requirements of the immigration rules.
I am on Tier 2 G, kindly advise what documents do i need to show?

Background: I was on tier 4 before getting Tier 2 and it was also refused initially due to 16 days overstay on Tier 4 (Tier 4 expired on 12-11-2012 and applied for Tier 2G on 28-11-2012)

Many Thanks

The Tier 2 guide is clear. This includes proof of income, employer letter for absence and declaration that they need you for a foreseeable future, etc
