Hi,
I'm applying for ILR next month. My understanding was, the employer letter needs to include absences from the UK and that no evidence is needed for holidays taken within the UK. Until I read UKBA's answer to the following question:
https://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/ ... _ilr_rules
An excerpt from UKBA's response states:
"Applicants are required to provide evidence from their employer confirming the dates of paid annual leave taken throughout the continuous period. The applicant himself must provide the dates of absences spent outside of the UK whilst on paid annual leave."
Can someone please help me understand what the actual requirement is? Letter from the employer listing all holidays or only absences from the UK?
I've only been out of the UK for a little over a week during last 5 years, so instead of writing a separate absence letter, my employer has included the following line in the main letter:
"Mr X has been absent from the UK on paid leave from dd/mm/yy to dd/mm/yy to wrap up his affairs back home and to bring his family over."
Is this acceptable?
Many thanks
