50 points, non-shortage, just refused.
OMG this is really bad :( I'm also on 50 points. I thought it would have been enough.

Refused again (didn’t make minimum salary cutoff point) at 35 points, non shortage (it was to be expected).

I’m not holding my breath for April either, even though it would be amazing if it came through!

I have been refused on 50 points. Don’t know if it’s worth trying again in April,

Hi all.

I’m a business journalist looking at the four-month-streak on the cap. I’m trying to find employers who have been denied a certificate since December to talk about the struggles they’re having.

I’d also like to hear from prospective employees who have likewise been denied a visa long-term.

Please do get in touch, in confidence. Anonymity can be discussed if you wish to get involved.

I’m new to this board, so I’m not sure if private messages work here. So email me: email address removed by moderator

Thanks

I am EXTREMELY PISSED OFF because the company submitted 50k as a salary but they KNOW my new role was paying 80K. They said they did this so that if for whatever reason my 80K contract ends in the future, that I will be able to continue working with my RCoS as long as my salary is > 50k.

I feel that this decision was made without me and I am super pissed off. Firstly, I would never work for 50k, if this was the case I would rather go back to Australia, so how they simply decided on what minimum salary I would work on is beyond me!

This looks like 45 points may not through in April or May too

April is only 2200

Feb was around 1900+

Don't expect miracles to happen in April

Mine also refused at 50 points giving same reason
Hi, could you please tell me where they show the reason ? Mine was refused too but my company said it doesn’t show the reason on the system, thanks a lot. Just wonder if there is other reason bar “didn’t make the minimum points”

Very true. I am trying to think optimistically here. According to previous year's data April has always been a heavy month and there were 500 CoS fewer this month than before so logically the score would go up. I am hoping it does not go beyond 55 though.

All we can do now is sit tight till next month and make sure our applications are in with the best salary possible. Good luck for next month guys!
