Have you got any letter from HMRC regarding CT - either the one when you registered or another asking you to submit your return or another that told you what your tax due is.raj.m wrote: ↑Fri Mar 02, 2018 11:39 amHi everyone,
Quoting from the Tier 1 Entrepreneur guidance below:
(b) If you are a director of a UK company or member of a UK partnership, you must provide:
(ii) HM Revenue & Customs’ confirmation or equivalent evidence that the company is
registered for corporation tax (if you are a director of the company), or that you are
making tax returns within the self-assessment tax system (if you are a member of a
partnership),
What are the different documents that satisfy this requirement? I mean could I have a list of all different HMRC/CT documents that would satisfy this requirement? Just want to know what my options are..
Many thanks
You mean CT41G? No, unfortunately I lost this letter. And HMRC have stopped sending letters by post when the corporation tax is due. So, the last piece of communication I have from them is from 2016.marcnath wrote: ↑Fri Mar 02, 2018 12:31 pmHave you got any letter from HMRC regarding CT - either the one when you registered or another asking you to submit your return or another that told you what your tax due is.raj.m wrote: ↑Fri Mar 02, 2018 11:39 amHi everyone,

Doesn't matter what - any letter from HMRC that refers to your company's tax liability/participation works.
Oh, last time when I requested a duplicate letter from HMRC, they took over two months to send them.marcnath wrote: ↑Fri Mar 02, 2018 12:49 pmI believe you can still call them up and ask for a copy of any of the documents.
I received a reminder that my CT was due just two weeks back in the post, so I don't think they have stopped posting letters.
Or you should have your CT600 that you have filed.
That should work.raj.m wrote: ↑Fri Mar 02, 2018 2:24 pmOh, last time when I requested a duplicate letter from HMRC, they took over two months to send them.marcnath wrote: ↑Fri Mar 02, 2018 12:49 pmI believe you can still call them up and ask for a copy of any of the documents.

And yes, I do each and every CT600 that I have filed.
Thanks for your help. We submitted our annual accounts recently about a month ago. So I was expecting the HMRC to send me a notification to pay corporation tax with the exact amount. When I didn't receive any correspondence from them, I rang them up and they said they have stopped sending out these notifications and I would need to log on to my HMRC online account and check the amount there.marcnath wrote: ↑Fri Mar 02, 2018 2:26 pmThat should work.raj.m wrote: ↑Fri Mar 02, 2018 2:24 pmOh, last time when I requested a duplicate letter from HMRC, they took over two months to send them.marcnath wrote: ↑Fri Mar 02, 2018 12:49 pmI believe you can still call them up and ask for a copy of any of the documents.

If you have an accountant, then often HMRC sends the letters to them.
Thank yousm12 wrote: ↑Fri Mar 02, 2018 2:55 pmCT41G is only sent once; usually HMRC does not send copies of this document.
Notice to deliver tax returns is still sent out.
The confirmation of successfully filing a tax return is no longer sent out/being phased out.
The copies of the CT600 should be enough though.
