British passport for a child

Hello everyone, need some advice. I am from Tanzania and my partner is from Poland. He is settled here for the last 10 years but hasn’t applied for residence card. And I have been in the uk for the last 12 years and I currently have a will family member residence card. Our child was born here last year may can we apply for a British passport for her? And do we need to do this before we apply for a polish one? As I don’t know if it will affect it
