Work as a doctor on Tier 4 Dependent Visa ??

Post by Vikky007 » Mon Mar 12, 2018 12:00 pm

Hi

My wife is in the UK on a tier 4 dependent visa.

Is there any provision for getting a work permit (to work as a doctor) without changing the visa?

Thanks

She already has a "work permit" that allows that. Her PBS Dependant visa allows her to do most work, except as a doctor/dentist in training.

Now a days tier 4 dependent visa holders are not allowed to do any kind of work. They are totally restricted to work on tier 4 dependent visa as my spouse has got tier 4 dependent and is not allowed to any work. Thanks

It depends on what her visa endorsement says.

This may be so for your spouse, but it is certainly not the general rule. See UKCISA's guide to which Tier 4 dependants can work, and what work they can do:

Yes the link says dependent can work but I do not know why they have restricted my wife from work. I am doing a postgraduate research degree and got visa for one year plus 3 months. My spouse got the same length but she is not allowed to do any work. Can you please advice! Its a bit unclear.

Thanks

Ask your international student adviser to check it for you.
