Registering a child as a British Citizen

Hello guys
my daughter turns 10 this november and was born here and lived here all her life.

My ex wife and I are divorced and I dont know her status (As she will never tell me), but I have a pending application for a parent under the 7 year route with fee waiver.

Unfortunately the HO actions destroyed my marriage and Immigration history, which they were silent about and when I went to court, the judge said he will ignore the facts

When do I register my daughter as a BC ? can I do it before or after ? Also about getting her passport, do I keep her passport in a secure location (out of the reach of my ex wife and myself ?)
