Must tenancy be in both your names?

We are submitting our flr m- Switching from fiancee and the tenancy is in sponsor name. Wondering if we can submit it as is without needing a letter from the landlord. He lives in a one bedroom flat.

Tenancy agreement can be in sponsor name alone but a letter permitting the applicant into the property by the landlord/estate agency is mandatory. And if accomodation is sharing with others then property inspection report is also needed.
