There is no guarantee that he will be deported. If you no longer wish to sponsor him and you have notified HO, they will decide whether to cancel his visa or not and will most likely cancel it. He may have sought other entitlements to remain in UK but you will never really know.

Like many others you feel betrayed etc. but HO see these cases everyday and they wont be so eager to deport him as much as you do.

Best thing for you just move on and learn from this. Do the Khula in Pakistan and also if you want let courts in UK know too, especially if you plan to re-marry again and sponsor someone else.
Can the Khula not be done from UK?

If I have had a Islamic marriage done in Pakistan and he has come over on a Spouse Visa, is that classed as a British marriage or not?

Also can he get married again in UK without divorcing me?
It is not a British marriage but it will be recognised in the UK legally as far as my understanding is.
These are my 'views' and 'opinions'.
If in doubt always seek professional advice, or at least do a search for the relevant information. :P

If i make any mistakes, You are more than welcome to correct me.

Khula can be done from UK if the registry office in Pakistan allow you to sign and send documents via post. Or they may allow someone to sign on your behalf i.e through power or attorney. You can contact the shariah courts within UK for advise for Islamic divorce settlements.

But more than likely than not the registrars in Pakistan will require you to go to Pakistan and initiate the khula.

Going Pakistan may be tricky if it's your own cousin you were married to. This is a lesson to us all, we need to be very careful who we marry and pick our spouses wisely, especially if it's cousins in Asian countries.

we have a similar situation, he has been served notice to leave the UK, if he leaves by the requested date, does the uk wife still need to file for a divorce (uk or islamic) or does the original marriage ( nikkah in pakistan) get nullified once he leave the UK ?

UK immigration issues and curtailment of visa have absolutely NOTHING to do with divorce processes. You will still be married even if he is deported. YOU have sort out the dissolution of your marriage.

I wrote to Home Office in March 2018 but have not heard anything back.

Do I actually get anything back from HO regarding a confirmation of them receiving the letter or not?

No, HO won't usually communicate with you once you have notified them as Casa already advised in April. Your spouse will be communicated with.

do I not even get a letter to say they have received it as I'm just worried just in case they have not received it, as it has been over 2 months.
