Post Tier 2 settlement while switched jobs

Post by Aristotle » Fri Mar 23, 2018 11:50 am

Hello,

My 5 years on Tier 2 is coming to an end and I'm going to apply for ILR next month.

I have switched jobs / employers during my Tier 2 visa. I didn't leave the UK between jobs and the period between jobs was just a few days so I don't think there should be any problems with it.

However, I'd like to know what documents I need to provide from the first employer. I know that I need a letter from my current employer stating that they are willing to employ me after my settlement and confirming that all my absences from the UK were lawful and within Tier 2 rules.

During my first employment I have been on a holiday abroad once and the first employer is happy to provide me with a letter confirming my work for them and confirming that my absence was legal / within annual holiday allowance.

Would such a letter be sufficient? Is there anything else I need to provide or know about?

Any advice is welcome!
Thanks!

Only the absence letter is required, so you should be fine
