Visa expenses - tier 1 entrepreneur

Post by Shak007 » Fri Mar 23, 2018 11:39 pm

Hi all,

I was in t2g dependent visa for the last 2 years and for unfortunate reasons I moved to t1e dependent in jan 2018. I was doing a small contracting job from 2016 and have a limited company as well. Can I claim the visa expenses as expenses in my company account or is it not allowed.

Thanks
Shak

It is completely up to you and your accountant. Nothing to do with HO. If you can justify it as a business expense and your accountant is happy with your justification, by all means you can claim it as business expense.

This has nothing to do with Tier 1E rules. Tier 1E rules do not govern the nature of the dependants work :?

ACcording to HMRC, the first 5 years of immigration expenses can be shown as an expense
