Yes your understanding is correct that sick pay/maternity/paternity leave Doesn't break the 6 months continuity. These 6 months will start counting prior to the date of application or prior to the commencement of leave. See official exampleHills75 wrote: ↑Mon Mar 26, 2018 4:05 pmMy husband took unpaid parental leave for four weeks. So that makes us short of £300 of the minimum for the 6 month prior to the application n that document says any unpaid leave should be discounted, se want to be sure if if could apply and put in 7 months of payslip has is says the they have to go back the time taken for unpaid parental leave.

The applicant’s partner is relying on Category A non-salaried employment but had 2 weeks’
unpaid sick leave 2 months prior to the date of application. This 2 week period will be
discounted for the purposes of the application and it will not break the 6 month period of
continuous employment required. So the applicant’s partner can show that they meet the
annualised average income required over a period of 6 months and 2 weeks prior to the date of application
Hey I hope you can help I am in a similar situation, I'd like to know how you showed the calculation for the unpaid paternity leave in your cover letter and are you salaried or non salaried. ThanksHills75 wrote: ↑Mon Mar 26, 2018 4:05 pmMy husband took unpaid parental leave for four weeks.
