Universal Credit: Change of Circumstances

Post by mmkhan » Mon Mar 26, 2018 8:07 pm

Hello,
I had couple of question on Universal Credit Change of Circumstances situation.

I am a British citizen and had a joint universal credit with my wife (non EU, non British, no recourse to public funds). We have a son together. So, we were getting some money from UC.
But, recently our situation have changed. We got divorced and my ex has moved out with my son. I am still paying for my son's maintenance. I have informed universal credit about my change of circumstances.
But, I'm not receiving any money from UC at this stage.
I wanted to ask even if my child doesn't leave with me can I still claim universal credit.
If so, do I need to make a new claim (account)?

Any answers/ suggestion much appreciated.
regards,
M Khan
