My wife (Indonesian) and I (British citizen) were married in October last year. We had been planning to apply for a Spouse Visa for her to move to UK as soon as possible, but the required TB test showed that she has a latent TB infection - it's not dangerous or contagious but does require a 6 month (minimum) course of treatment. She started the treatment last week, so we're not expecting to be able to apply for the Spouse Visa until September/October of this year at the earliest.
Due to this unexpected delay, we are going to apply for a Visitor Visa so she can visit me in the UK for 6/7 weeks, which is the longest she could travel for before having to return back to Indonesia to complete her TB treatment.
I would sponsor the visit, and in terms of evidence of my finances I don't think we would have an issue. Our problem is going to be providing evidence that she would return home at the end of the visit. She has no property (lives at home with her parents still) and she doesn't have a job currently (she didn't renew her contract at her previous job as we were expecting to have already applied for the Spouse Visa by now). The only real reason we can give is that she needs to return to complete her TB treatment, but I doubt this would be enough on its own.
Based on what I've read on this forum and elsewhere, we are are pretty sure her application will be rejected due to not having sufficient evidence that she will return home after her visit, but has anyone got any advice or suggestions for how we could improve our chances?
