Days Absent Question

Hiya,

I'm filling out the MN(1) form for my daughter and it asks to note all the days she was absent from the UK and to tally the total number of days up. I seem to recall that you don't count days that she was travelling (so if she left the UK and arrived elsewhere on the same date, that you don't count it). However the form doesn't explicitly give you this information, I just remember it from a thread on here. Any guidance as to the best way to fill it out?

Only count WHOLE days out of the UK and not date of departure/arrival back.
