ILR based on 4+ years of marriage-UK immigration

Post by Javid-Zee » Wed Apr 11, 2018 7:33 am

I'm a British citizen but have been living outside the UK for over a decade, got married about 4 years ago and my wife is a Pakistani national and we are planning to move back to the UK by December 2018.

I went to citizens advise in Manchester in January and was told that I can apply for my wife's visa and she should be eligible to get indefinite leave to remain "ILR" on entry as we have been married for 4 years now but when doing my research on-line I have not seen any specific information on this, also I have read that this is no longer applicable.

Any information on this matter would be helpful

The CAB are well out of date with their information. :!: The '4 year' concession was removed way back in July 2012 and your wife will now be on a 5 year path to ILR (2.5 x 2.5 years).
