Hello,
I’ve spent some time looking over posts regarding similar cases but would love to get some advice and feedback.
I’m a british National and have been with my Albanian fiancé for 6 years, we are applying for the 10 year partner route appendix FM with EX.1.
Our main focus is on the insurmountable obstacles and I wanted to gain clarity on wether the case we are about to submit is strong enough.
My partner entered illegally in 2011. We met in 2012 and have been Co habiting for 5 years. We have 5 years of documents to prove a real relationship.
In regards to EX.1, i have suffered from mental health issues since youth and recently had a diagnosis of borderline personality disorder, which Unfortunately came to head in 2017 where I was sectioned under the mental health act.
We have significant documents stating my health decline and the important role my partner has played in recovery and to be brutally honest I would not be here if it wasn’t for him.
Due to serious mental health issues I believe I would find it impossible to live in albania. And I wanted advice if this would count as a insurmountable obstacle? Im worried as it being a mental disorder that stigma and this being an “invisible disease” is going to affect our case. “Home office can rip you apart” I’m also concerned that if we end up in court I personally couldnt handle the experience.
The application has statements from relatives and friends all whom regard my partners influence to be life saving.
I welcome all feedback, Thankyou!
