Got my visa this morning. Submitted on priority last Saturday.
Congratulations. Did you get an email the previous day that your application was decided from the embassy/high commission or just on the day off from VFS asking you to collect your passport.
No email or SMS. I checked the status on bluedart and it said that its out for delivery. Got it a few hours back. You can use your GWF number on bluedart website to check status.

That's strange. No email/sms. I haven't taken the courier service since the VFS center is quite close to my home. Anyway congratulations once again. All the very best for your trip to the UK :D.

Hi All, I am going to apply for Tier 2 General restricted visa availing priority service. UKVI website says if there is a US visa refusal earlier, then it is better not to use priority service as they can't meet the 5 day timeline. Is this true? My US work visa H1b got rejected last year, so I am a bit nervous after reading this. Did anyone experience such situation?

Hi rajani

I understand.even if u have applied on priority, it would have come to u..why they r delaying..will see on tomorrow. .if they take this much time why they suggest to apply on priority. .

Actual SLA is 15 days only..if they delay..they would have intimated atleast through email...frustrated

Thanks
Sujatha

I wonder what are your job start dates?

if they are too long from now - that might be one of the reason why UKBA are taking it easy (although they shouldn't) .Perhaps too many applications in April, may cause them to try this way - just speculating the reasons

do u agree?

FYI, I am planning to apply next week in priority, so thinking w.r.t. your dealys

Hi Ashish,
I dont see job start date on my visa application. There is no field like that. All I can see is Date of Planned arrival in UK which was entered as 8th April.

I am still speculating the reason for delay cause we have not received any communication whatsoever apart from the initial mail on 19th April that it under consideration by consulate UKVI. Another trouble I have is that I third party visalogic hired by my sponsoring company has done the end to end process, including RLMT and application submission. Not sure if they have missed something. :(

Thanks,
Rajani.

ok. if the arrival date given is 8th, then it should have been addressed. I hope in the CoS your job start date is also April's date.
And If they missed any doc or info on application, VISA office should contact them. Have you spoken to them
Anyways, I can only wish you good luck

This is ridiculous. Why do we even bother paying for "priority" services when it is going to be delayed anyway. Tomorrow is my start date and it seems it is a public holiday in the UK too so I dont think I can expect anything till Wednesday.

Hi Sujatha,
Glad to know that you have atleast got a date from UKVI.
I had called UKVI last Friday, no progress. I opted to collect the passport from VFS centre. One of my friend had applied on priority on 3rd April and he got his passport on 27th April. Disappointed but still hopeful.

Thanks,
Rajani.

Just contacted VFS and they said a decision has been made and I have to wait for VFS to contact me. I submitted it on Monday (23rd April) at the Mumbai (south) center on a priority basis.

No, I used the paid service to contact UKVI. I have applied for a tier 2 general - shortage occupation visa.
