Error on Sponsor Letter of Support - docs already sent to Sheffield

Post by Soapydoapy » Sun Apr 29, 2018 12:50 am

Hello,

Please accept my apologies if this is not the correct forum for this question.

My fiance and I sent all our documents to support our fiancé visa application yesterday (Friday), they are expected to arrive on Monday. However, I've just been re reviewing our copies and have noticed 2 potentially fatal errors on my sponsor's letter of support.

1) I have written my birthday in the American format so it reads incorrectly - it's also a month and day that can be read either way (i.e. not 12/02/1989)
2) I have written an intended date of travel which does not match our online application.

Of course, my DOB is correct on the online form, my passport and birth cert, they have originals of all of these. However, I cannot correct either of these errors now as the bundle is in this post.

Is there anything I can do to save this situation? Am I overreacting or should I be prepared for a rejection? Should I call the UKVI phone number to explain, email them, write a letter?

I'm so embarrassed that I let something so stupid fall through the cracks.

Thank you any advice is appreciated.

I think you are overreacting, if the rest of the documents ok, it shouldn’t influence your application in my point of view
