7 weeks short of 5 years

Post by trent30 » Wed May 02, 2018 11:30 pm

Hi all,

This forum has been a great service for many years and I"ve been able to find answers to a lot of questions so I'd like to say firstly thanks to all those that contribute, you have helped me a lot.

Nationality: Australia
Arrived in UK: 27 Jun 2012 (Youth migration Tier 5)
1st FLR(M): 14 August 2013 (Premium service centre)
2nd FLR(M): 30 October 2015 (Postal)

Leave expires: 28 May 2018.
Soonest I can apply for IDR: 17 July 2018 (28 days before 14 August 2018)

I'm aiming to achieve IDR. I applied for my second FLR(M) too early and this has created a 7 week gap between my leave expiring and completing the required 5 years. In order to avoid submitting a 3rd FLR(M) I'm hoping I can book a premium service appointment before the 28th of May for after the 17th of July. As I've booked before my leave expires I'm fine to stay in the country and so long as the appointment is after the 17th of July I can submit a SET(M). Is this an option?

I realise now the importance of applying just before the leave expires.

Alternate suggestions are appreciated. Apologies if this has been covered elsewhere I have been unable to find it.

Thanks again,
Trent

No you cannot apply in person after your visa expires. Date of application is the date of your appointment.

You will have to apply for an extension on FLR(M) to cover the shortfall.

Thanks for the quick response I really appreciate your time and effort.
