Info on applying as an extended family member

Post by minmax0 » Tue May 08, 2018 11:57 am

Hello, I am in Indian national and have been living with my uncle in Germany for the past 8 years, who plans to move to the UK.

As I understand, it's possible for me to get an EEA Family Permit of 6 months. What are the chances of getting it as an extended family member?

Since I have documentation proving I've lived with my uncle for the past 8 years and are also currently living in the same household (though there was a break of about 1 year in between). The reason I've lived with him is because I have a skin disease and wouldn't have been able to support myself alone with my salary and also pay for my treatment.

If I do get the EEA Family Permit, how hard is to then apply and get a Residence Card in the UK?

Has anyone else been in a similar situation? I'm trying to weigh what are my options once my uncle leaves Germany. I really don't want to be alone. :(
