Tax relief for expenses of employment

Post by urssunil4u » Wed May 09, 2018 12:16 pm

Hi Everyone,
First of all, apologies if its already been answered, i am making post after searching through forums and could not find anything on this topic.

My employer said i can claim tax relief for business miles i do with my personal car. my employer only pays 18p as per uk law 45p allowed for first 10000 and 25p after 10000.

So my question is can i claim this from HMRC as i am on tier 2 visa and do not want to mistakenly claim something i should not.

Thank you in advance for your help
Sunny

I have moved your topic to the Tier 2 General sub forum as it is not 'government benefits' related.
