Guys! please post your RCOS status as you receive update today. I see still people awaiting response
Hi, I got told on Friday my application at 50 points was rejected because the points cut off for this month is 55.
Sorry I didn’t post this before, was feeling too emotional about my life being uprooted to be on here.
Agree that this month has been far more confusing with non SOL at lower points than 50 being approved.
I personally find it quite a shock that instead of the cutoff going down it’s gone up. I can’t see any reason why it would be so high since this month had nearly 2k visas.

Frankly there is no way apart from speculating to tell what next month will be like, the Home Office is very opaque on purpose and immigration is too much of politically charged issue to lose votes over. Like someone said on here before, although this is causing our lives to be messed up, the government or the Home Office couldn’t care less, we are not their priority, their votes are.

You are absolutely right, the immigration system already much tougher than rest of Europe in UK. We are not paid low and employer has to run RLMT to prove we are not taking locals jobs. In long term this will affect UK residents. If Google and Microsoft opens office in London its because it was a hub for the talents not because the weather is awesome and the girls are hottest. I can clearly see that my friends who are EU resident don't even consider UK anymore. Let's train one million software engineers in 6 months and reject my visa for eternity.

My partner got approved last month at 50 points, but due to some technical issue hospital couldn't issue RCOS. They said they ll re apply and of that rejected previous approval will be still valid... haven't heard anything... but just quick one looking at the scenario 50points will get rejected this month. Will the approve it on exceptional basis?

Thats what the originally said.
Sorry that I cannot help you with your question. Is there a difference between approval and issue? I thought that once RCoS is approved, then you can apply for visa. Basis your question, I understand that after RCoS approval, it has to be issued, and then visa can be applied. Thanks.

Fewer certificates than 2000.

The process is simple:
1) Since Jan, every month around 1700 new applicants with +50p have applied
2) If there are ~2k certificates, then everyone up to 45p applicants get approval, and ~300 certificates remain for salaries [45,50), i.e. 45p applicants. Since the number of 45p applicants is more than ~300, then all got rejected.
3) If there are fewer than 2k certificates, then the [50,55) salary bracket would have same situation as [45,50). One month this bracket is too crowded, then all got rejected, next month due to increase in the total number of certificates, they got cleared.

Do expect it to go down guys. Threshold would go up and down between 50 and 55 points

Your assumptions are really reasonable. However after September the monthly allocation will be 1500. That means even 55K will be doomed.

you are true. The number of academic applicants would be reduced that time, but that doesn't help that much.

Am telling this again and again please dont get desperate for Uk don't spoil your life thinking about UK we all know there is no certainty in RCOS unless policy change.

Don't waste your time speculatung and counting the applications. We did that and moved on. If this is the scenario for 40 odds then imagine the clearance for 30 odds.

Have 42 points my employer is ready to re do RLMT but am just trying other options also a role change and 50k salary bracket in next few months from the same employer.

I wish this agony goes soon.

Losing hope is not a viable one for anybody. But many people wasted half a year and this is no good for our careers and even harder for those who have kids. Your career would take a significant step up if you start working in UK but OTOH it seems like impossible for many in short term. I am sorry to say negative stuff.

Wish everyone luck and patience.

Need to be strong in these tough times. I wish all of you have the strength to go through this and make a good memory out of this.

No, they are in hurry, and they know that without increase the salary, there is no chance. I think they are not willing to increase it anyway. I trusted this Deloitte company for doing my visa work, and they repeatedly mis-informed me about the process. It was my mistake that I trusted them. Even a popcorn seller in cinema can throw words such as "backlog clearance" and "we do our best" to an applicant. The real information are numbers and trends, which the company did not know anything about.

I had to do everything myself, and negotiated my salary based on these facts.

But no worries, probably better opportunities are waiting for me considering the Brexit, and conservative government.

I too had a differ opportunity in UK although not willing to sponsor at that point in time. This company &&&& did the same throw words like "Backlog clearance" ," we do the best " . But i missed on researching what is going on before i actually understood and rejected the 2nd offer paying more but no visa . Hard luck

PS : I haven't got an email yet from my employer on the status . I know they submitted my application for Rcos on 23rd April 2018

There is no word on Salary imCrease but people are desperate for professionals in my firm. They have booked me for 1.5 years over there hopefully if they tame me as AM I will get 50-55 salary because when I applied I dint have that much experience they considered me for Analyst role. Hopefully they give me what I deserve have been waiting like 8 months.
