Using premium service

Post by diliniwick » Fri May 11, 2018 9:45 am

Hi all,

I have an ongoing appeal hence I have not had the passport with me for about 2 years now. However, my son just received his British citizenship. I am planning to apply for indefinite leave as his parent. I was wondering whether I could still use the premium service as I heard that the rules have changed form April 2018. Would be grateful if you could help me out with any information! Thank you in advance.

It is not Indefinite Leave that you will get or apply for. It is FLR(FP), another 5 or 10 year route to ILR. Are you still in a relationship with your sons other parent??? Applying for this will withdraw your appeal and end your Section 3C protection (assuming you had this). Premium service should also only be used for straightforward cases. If you don't have your passport, you are unlikely to get a decision on the day and will join the postal queue.

What 'rule change' exactly are you referring to???
