Hi everyone,
I am new here and I am not sure if the questions I am going to ask are already been answered, if so I apologize and ask you to please point me to the right direction.
To sum up: I am italian, living and working in the UK, and a few months ago I got married with my lovely Ecuadorian wife.
We got married in Ecuador, so now she is still there and we'll soon start the process to apply for a EEA family visa (as I think this is the route to go?).
I am still not sure if it's worth getting a lawyer to help us during the process, or if we can just manage on our own. The thing is, I don't really want that anyone in the airport will find ANY reason to send her back (because unfortunately I know that this kind of things happen, even when people have all the permissions, visa, etc... police just decide they have to go back).
HERE IS THE QUESTION:
is there any way that my wife can be stopped at the airport and sent back to Ecuador, even though she's got a valid visa? I mean, I know many people would say "that's impossible, if she's got a visa they must let her in", but again, I have got experience from a friend of mine... and this happened.
So, I will go and pick her up from Ecuador and come back with her.... and I want to know if there is a specific paragraph/chapter in the Law that would help in this instance.
In other words, if an officer starts playing the "I am the law, you do what I say" kind of character in the airport, I want to have evidence to show under their nose that they are wrong and that they MUST let us in.
So, I am looking for anything that would prove that, something I can print and bring with me.
Thank you!
