Standard Visa - Family Visitor Query

Post by ajaitv » Thu May 17, 2018 4:22 pm

I am a Tier 2 General Primary Applicant , My in laws visited UK on May 15th in Standard Visa (Family Visitor) with the validity of 180 days,While submitted the application the intended stay was mentioned as 2 months 2 weeks duration. In the heathrow airport the border force immigration officers have asked about the return date, they weren't too sure at that time when they are gonna return back(definitely not a plan to extend / over stay), they just mentioned 2 months, the officer has mentioned that they should not stay within UK beyond July 15th July ( 2 months from arrival) , If they do then my Tier 2 general visa will not be renewed as it is due next year, Will the 180 days visa validity overrides with 60 days duration given by border force Airport immigration officer ?

Now my daughter wants her grandparents to be there on her birthday in September , Will that be not possible ? Should they return back before July 15th ? Please assist

No need for multiple duplicate topics. Your original post was moved this sub forum - General Immigration.

Your parents should not overstay, it will create problems for future visas if they have stayed longer than they stated in their original visa application.

Thanks for your reply

While application was made INTEND TO STAY IN THE UK was given as 2 Months 2 weeks, Can we stick to the 2 months 2 weeks duration or we should be tied up to the 2 months duration given to the Border agency officials ?
