Partner visa working restrictions

Post by Ashu2483 » Sun May 20, 2018 9:28 pm

Hello,

I am planning to switch my visa from Tier 2 to Partner visa FLR(M). My partner is already having ILR.

Can I work as a "Doctor in Training" on partner visa, or are there any restrictions.

Wanted to get advise before I could apply.

Many Thanks

You will be permitted to take up a training programme.

Thanks Casa,

My friends wife (who is in UK as a Tier 2 dependant) - visa states that she cannot takeup employement in training as doctor .

But my partner is already having ILR. Could you advise, if I can take up employement as a doctor in training (on Partner visa) in that case.

Apologies for asking again , but concerned when my friend told me about his wife.

Many Thanks

The difference is between a Tier 2 Dependent and a FLR(M) Spouse visa. FLR(M) has no work restrictions, unlike Tier 2 Dependent.

Training programs may be undertaken, but if there is a fee requirement, it must come of your own pocket.
