Standard Visitor Visa for Friend

Hello,
I am wanting to sponsor my friend to visit me in the uk . I don’t want my friend to see all my bank statements. Can I send these direct to the embassy with the application?

No. Perhaps you can give your friend the money upfront, so they can show it in their own name.
