Denied ILR and given DLR

Post by jamalmc94 » Sun May 27, 2018 5:34 pm

hello
was wondering if i could get some help and advise

basically i had completed my 2 sets of 3 years last December and applied for indefinite leave to remain but i was rejected on the grounds that there was an 11 month gap between my 2 sets of 3 years, this was because i just turned 18 my mum moved house and i had to pay for the fees myself, but i paid it. anyway me and my mum both had the 11 month gap and both paid for everything at the same time. i received a rejection letter last month stating that i did not qualify for indefinite because of the gap.my mum had written something wrong on her application so they asked her to do t again so she was a month behind my decision, she received a letter a few days ago saying she was granted indefinite. i do not understand why i would be refused and she would have it granted to her. the only reason i can think of is that my decision was made just before the 'windrush' scandal and her decision was made after(we are both Jamaican). im not trying to point fingers but our application was identical the only difference is that month gap when our decision was made. does anyone know what i can do to appeal this as on my rejection letter it states that i cannot appeal this decision, there just must be something i can do as its just not right

thank you

These are my 'views' and 'opinions'.
