Spouse visa non straightforward refusals

Post by Jedai Prince » Thu May 31, 2018 1:48 am

Hi everyone

I applied in early March and after 56 business days received 2 emails at different times in the same day. The email said that my application is not straight forward and ukvi cannot make a decision within 60 working days . I am worried as to what this means. I have seen one or two March non priority application approvals recently and I am worried it might be a refusal for me . Any suggestions will be appreciated . Thanks

I have seen many people on this board that received Not Straight Forward email's and have been granted visa's after some time. so it cannot mean its rejected. it could just be a generic email when they need more time due to back logs or sometimes it may be slightly complex if it is a second application or there is two jobs relying to meet the financial requirements. you just have to wait now.

Thank you,

They're are few reasons I think for which my application could be refused . I will list 3 of them as follows

1. I made two mistakes in online application form , one was a spelling mistake of my spouse mothers name and other was my (sponsor) UK status. Instead of putting in ILR holder I just put in permanent resident.

My solicitor explained mothers name spelling mistake in his covering letter and I explained that I hold ILR in my sponsor declaration form.

2. Mistakes in appendix 2 form by solicitor. I applied with 2 jobs. In the financial section I ticked catgory A. I filled the cat A section with my main job. But my solicitor also filled in the category B section with my second job. He said there was no other place to put the second job in the appendix form so he put it there.

However, I have explained clearly in my sponsor declaration form that I have two jobs and I have attached 6 moths wage slips from both jobs and applied under category A. Since I am non salaried I explained I was earning a gross Annual average income of 20000 approx combined with both jobs. I have also asked ECO to read my sponsor declaration form in additional document section in the appendix 2.

3. I have send a lots of relationship communication documents with my spouse. I send everyday screenshots of whatsapp chats and calls instead of sending just a few screenshots etc for each months 😑

ECO have not contacted me nor my employer yet since the non straightforward email.😥

You will get your decision soon , having two jobs doesn’t always delays an application, I have had friends apply with 2 jobs and got quick decision in the past, don’t know why mine will be taking that long?😩

Standard application, applied 1st week of March , bio done 7march, docs send 15 March , docs returned 11 April, email from Sheffield that application has been received on 7 th April

After that on the 56th day this week, they send me two emails saying my application is not straightforward, they didn’t contact me nor my employer till this day🤨

I will thanks , one question is bugging my mind is regarding the IHS number. I have just been told by someone that IHS number should be written in the printed application form before sending it to home office. I also read in the ukvi website the same thing and it's worrying me now. In my case I didn't write it in the front of the application form because my solicitor told me that they will already have it linked with my application anyway so there was not need to write it.

Do you thInk not writing the IHS number delays application?
