Hi all,
I have been able to book the appointment now. Thanks for all the tips shared in this forum. For anyone facing similar issue, I would reiterate the following advices-
1. Be flexible for any premium service center (as postal service might take as long as 1.5 years and you cannot leave the country during that period. One of my friend has been waiting for 11 months and still waiting...)
2. Try booking at 12 midnight (not sure about 12 noon, as i haven't tried). At this time the website performance is really slow which might be due to many people try to access at the same time. You will get this message several times- "Page cannot be displayed" and it will take you back to the login screen. But be patient and keep trying. It took me around 30 mins
3. Try to book the first available date. In my case, I had Tuesday to Saturday all days available in a week (25-29 Sept) but it was not showing me any available time slots for Saturday which I wanted to. I had to book on Tuesday, the first available day. What I am trying to say is they may open the slots per day basis starting from the first available date. If not Tuesday then try Wednesday and so on.
4. If you select a date but 'save and continue' without any time slot selected then you will get the error saying "Question not answered" something like that. This is for most of the cases nothing to do with your answers, it is just because you haven't selected any time slot. So follow my step 3

Hope this helps. I can understand how frustrating it is when you know your visa is expiring and you are not getting an appointment booked! hence, wanted to post my experience if that helps you.

Hi all,

Just to share my experience trying to book an appointment online for October 15th or just after.

I was looking last night from 11pm until 8am this morning and couldn't find a single appointment at any centre- 50% of the time I was taken to the page saying the website isn't working so try again in a few minutes, the other 50% of the time I was asked to choose another centre.

As you can imagine, I am feeling exhausted and somewhat demoralised!

I've followed all of the suggestions you have very kindly made but it looks like I'm going to have to go through the whole process again tonight! I am astounded at how shambolic the premium service website is given the amount of money we are required to pay in fees!

FYI it is too early for booking mid October onwards appointments.

Oh! Thanks very much for advising! I had read somewhere else that it was business rather than calendar days. I'm not sure the online booking process is going to be any less tortuous when I look again at the end of this month (!) but I really appreciate your clarification :-)

Thanks very much also for the warning about the likely change in October! In principle it sounds like it could be a much better system but I wonder:
i) what the actual start date will be and how the transition from one system to another will be managed in time so that no well-intentioned applicants fall through the transitional gaps
ii) whether they have trialed everything to ensure a seamless service for applicants from appointment booking to appointment to receipt of visa
iii) whether this change will increase the current fees at very short notice for people who have budgeted to apply for FLR (M) in October onwards via the existing system
iv) how laypeople would possibly be aware of this change, without the existence of this fantastic forum or without paying an additional (and likely very considerable!) fee to employ an immigration lawyer

No one on the forum can answer these questions as we ony know. We don't work for HO.

Visa fees are only increased once a year in April by HO. Centre applications feesmight change, don't know.

Many applicants simply use many of the other forums or resources around or use Google to find the rules and guidance notes or have friends or family who have been through immigration processes.

Dear members,
Could anyone help me as I have seen quite few appointments for October 8 and onward but my problem is when ever I try to select a date then it starts loading and never selects any date, when i try to save and continue it gives me (Questions not answered) error and then all the time slots are gone. Could any one tell me, when ever you select a date for booking then whats the indication that required date is selected? Thanks

I think this normally means the date isn't really available and it's showing you something that isn't really there. Whenever this has happened to me the appointments disappear after going back and returning. When I successfully booked my appointment I could back and forth multiple times for several hours and the dates remained consistent.

It is too early to book slots for 8th October. They are only available 6 weeks in advance.

I would be interested to know how everyone on this thread got on booking an appointment?

I am looking for one from October 16 onwards but all the centres are only showing October 13 slots which is too early for me.

When should I be checking and what do you think the likelihood of me actually getting one is?

Also I saw someone say postal can take 1.5 years - I heard it was 6 weeks - is that true?

I am trying to book any time and any location, but when I select any location, the message appears (No slots available for the nest 45 days) Do you think this is a glitch?

This is helpful. I've now joined the queue for trying to get an October date. Ive seen them come up yesterday for Glasgow for Oct 20th and saw some appointments for Croydon on Oct 5th; too early for me (can do mine starting Oct 21st). So far, I've had my tablet, phone, and laptop all going as well as Chrome, Samsung's browser, and IE all and no luck so far (it will show me that appointments are available on the dates that I need but when I click to see "more than 10 appointments available" nothing happens). To equitydealer; I said the same thing to my yard owner today that I'm TRYING TO GIVE THEM A BOATLOAD OF MONEY - I don't understand why they make it so difficult lol. I've started playing the game of constant refresh when I get a chance instead of wasting my time playing Candy Crush hahahaha (it's only funny because this just doesn't feel like something that should be this difficult)

Woo hoo!! Managed to get a booking in Croydon for Oct 22nd. There were tons that have opened up! A tip for people struggling: use BOTH a laptop AND your mobile. My mobile loaded A LOT faster than my laptop but I thought if I could tag-team it, then I might have more success. Was a bit hairy there for a little while as it kept saying "appointments are available" but couldn't select any slots - I randomly went back a week and showed nothing then went forward another week (I can do my ILR at the earliest on Oct 21) which showed nothing, then went back to the 19th and for some reason that was suddenly available but listed dates for that day, the Saturday and the following Monday (the 19th, 20th, and 22nd) so I chose the Monday.

Another trick: have the pages open already so all you have to do is hit back and/or refresh. I had them open since 9pm and every 20 mins have been hitting refresh with no luck (actually since earlier than that). As soon as midnight hit, I used my mobile and laptop to refresh. I did the booking via my mobile; sssooooo much faster!

Have been trying for over 2 weeks endlessly....See dates available almost everyday @ 12am, but havent been able to proceed after choosing dates. No time slots come up for some reason after it finishes loading. It only displays "you must answer this question to continue" after i save and continue.

Have tried all sorts of browser tricks without success. I am beginning to give up honestly.

I desperately need some help from members please!!!!!!!!

I got my appointment for 15 Nov Glasgow. I was on the web page constantly refreshing it from 10:30 pm last night till just after 0:00 hours and the appointment showed up. I was pretty quick from there at completing the booking. Fingers crossed for the application

I have been on the same boat as you for lat month or so until finally i managed to book a slot last night around 00.13

Please dont give up checking all the available dates that shows up at midnight and also keep refreshing browser button constantly from 00.00 to 00.20 for all different centres. Another aspect I noticed is that it works faster on mobile phones and tablet devices.

Try using Google Chrome auto refresh extension.

I have 4 screens at the office so it was easy for me to watch and pick the date as soon as soon they are available.

1st appointment booked for Nov 12 at Croydon
Changed to 23rd Oct at Croydon on Tuesday
Changed to 12th Oct this morning

Wagwaanin'.

I had a question. My wife's visa expires on the 11th of November.

Is it too late to book a Premium appointment since the date (if available) would be after the date of expiry of the Visa?
