Good luck all
That's good news for some people here! Thanks for posting.
Just to confirm, did you have a salary >=50k and <55k?

I am waiting for a decision with 55 points.
Salary was 51k, I’m sure your decision will come through soon
May I know how big is your firm? Thanks

Quite big. But I dont think the size of the firm matters in obtaining a CoS.

Thanks , But when people with 50k in Non SHORTAGE LIST and NON NHS got approval , Wonder why my application is still under review - my score is some where between 55 / 60 .
I saw two more people with 55 and 60 still waiting in this forum.

Not sure why this is happening, can some one explain?
Also if anyone who is between 55-60 k salary get approval - Please post ( only NON NHS and NON SHORTAGE LIST )

I´m waiting with 50 points also. I just called my HR and they told me to wait this week, it´s too soon to be worried. We are seen some colleagues been selected with 60-55 and 50... Let´s be confident :D

Have you checked with your employer?

Because some employers notify their employees of approval immediately, while others may take time to inform the employees. But if 50 points was approved, your cos must have been approved by now. And would be reflecting on the employer’s online portal (which is called the SMS in UK Home Office language). As soon as the approval comes, it gets reflected in the SMS. The employers need to check their SMS to see the status. While some employers are swift at doing this, some take time. That is why we see many people saying here that their cos was approved while others at same points dont have any updates.

Please ask your employer to check their portal (which is called the SMS in UK home office language). Ask them to check and tell you the status of your CoS request. It should either show “under review”, “approved” or “refused”.

Approvals don't go in any order necessarily. Likely, there are batches broken up by caseworker and it depends how quickly they can get to you. They still have to verify that every application in that band is valid. If you haven't received an approval/rejection, it only means your caseworker hasn't got to you yet. It's only day two - patience people!

But this is what is scary right, that there are some caseworkers who havent even got to 50 or 55 yet. That only means that there are numerous applications above that. Which will be sad for people waiting in the 40s.

No thats not possible according to my knowledge on this subject. Employers advertising to recruit for a “non shortage occupation job” and consequently obtaining a CoS for that role must necessarily use the CoS for an employee who is going to take up that very exact role.

If they are trying to get you through the shortage list, that means that they are changing your job profile. Please ask them in detail.

They just never tell me in details they even didn't told me what my points are. They have re-advertise the role with adding necessary work permit requirement and to me they are telling things are not good and they are trying to get me through shortage list which is very strange. i am just loosing hope here. according to me it's just 29 points.

The cut off is already determined in the meeting - it's not as if going faster or slower is going to effect anyone in the 40s. The caseworkers already know what the cut off is, we're just waiting to hear.
