No update today either.. has anyone heard something from their HR?
Just messaged the HR in the UK, and he replied that he hasn't heard back from the in-house immigration team. At my employer, there is a separate immigration team, which first look into the monthly RCoS allocation results, and then informs the HR, who in-turn informs me. This causes a lot of delay in the news to trickle down to me!

50 points, non-shortage, IT.
Just got a response from my firm's immigration consultant saying that it still shows "Under Review" on SMS.

Apparently the PM was on Sky
"Doctors and nurses to be removed from Tier 2 visa cap with immediate effect says Prime Minister just now"
Fingers crossed - wish she could have done this months ago...

I’m also confused by that - in the Sun it said ‘with immediate effect’ but the GOV U.K. documents have July 6 as implementation date
I guess we’ll see in a few days. I think it’s almost impossible to predict trends, people have been doing it on this board since the cap was first hit

I think HO will give the CoS for the 55´s and 50s in July, for 45´s in August and for 40´s and below in September...

I hope it will be faster. By removing all doctors and nurses I don't think that there are a lot of 55's and 50s in the queue. The only reason to not clean 45 in July of it will be really huge backlog so but chuck of certificates will be moved to August.

A) looks like 50 and 55s might get through in June, if the earlier people on this thread are a trend
B) Once again I have to caution people’s predictions, we’re missing crucial information re: the backlog. There are many categories of doctor and where do they fall in the point ranges? How many apply every month - is it the 2300 reported over Nov-April or 500 a month?
We don’t know enough!

Well according to the news nhs takes up about 8000 visa a year so that is roughly 700 visa a month. Definitely if the rule is implemented immediately 50-55 would get through this month.
45 next month. 40-45 in August and 35-40 in September and so on .. you have to consider that even though the rules have been lifted there would be new applications each month which would add to the existing backlog . So it would take approx 3-4 months to clear out the entire backlog. Also need to take into consideration that coming September the number of visa per month would be 1500 a month .
But the good news is after every 3 months rcos which have not used are added to the monthly allocation so from July onwards everyone can expect an additional 200-300 rcos added

We don’t know enough!
And we don't know for sure if these 2300 reported RCoS applications by doctors were unique!
