Tier2 dependant switch to tier2

Post by lulu123 » Thu Jun 14, 2018 10:02 am

Hello
I have a few questions if someone can help me please.
I used to have Tier2 work visa, after marriage, I switched to Tier2 dependant (applied in U.K.). Now I want to switch to Tier2 again due to personal reasons, is there any restriction?

Is there any cooling off period? Thanks.

You can change to Tier 2 General but you have to apply from Home Country with RCoS.

If you have been on a dependent visa for at least 12 months, then that is your cooling off period already.

Thank you for your reply. How long does it take from application till get the visa?

Also how about the previous NHS fees I paid for Tier2 Dependant? I paid about 2.5 years NHS fees when I applied for Tier2 dependant visa. Thanks.

It depends if you apply standard or priority service.

You have to pay IHS for each application you make. You might get a refund if previous payment, you might not.
