SET(M) - Sponsor passport photocopy only?

Hi

I am applying for SET(M) via post and i assume that it is not compulsory to send my partner's (sponsor) original passport and I can send full copy of his passport, including the bank pages. if so do i need to certify the copies?

Has anyone sent just the copies of sponsor's passport and succeed?

My husband has abroad travel plan hence little worried to send the original passport, in case if its take longer to return the documents.

No need to certify. For Set(M), you can also use the Settlement Checking Service at the council.
