Tier 2 Dependent Visa

Post by sohailahmed999 » Thu Jun 07, 2018 11:29 am

Hi Immigration Board Team,

I have question about my wife visa

I am here in UK on tier 2 general visa & applied my wife visa from Pakistan.

On Home Office website there was two options

Fifteen working days option or Five working days option to get the decision on application.

I have paid for five working days option also paid NHS surcharge as well but I have not hear anything yet.

Eleven working days gone now.

Also in visa application center in Pakistan told my wife there is no five working day option & How your husband had able to pay for five working day decision option.

So please if could somebody help me out on this.

Hi Immigration Board Team,

My wife applied on tier 2 Dependent Visa on priority service but no response for a month and I was worried about that so made call to home office helpline and she said because even normal response time collapsed now I have requested for escalation of your case

But my question is how many day's home office still takes after escalation?

Regards
Sohail

I too applied on priority, however they took 11 working days to process. And you can escalate if you past 15 working days.
Once you escalate they say it again falls in 10 or 15 working days to work out. However it can be well before that.

There are few conditions they mentioned for processing to take beyond 5 days - even if you apply on priority

for Eg: earlier VISA rejections to other countries etc.

Also please speak with UKVI (on contact centre telephone line) or watch out your email if ECO (Entry Clearance Officer ask for clarifications or seeking additional documents etc.) On my of friend's wife when applied on priority ,after 15 days ECO asked for police clearance certificate as her husband job fall in sensitive areas - which require clearance

This is just an example, may not be applicable to you. But just telling delay can be for any valid reason seen by ECO

I wish you good luck and hope you will receive it soon.

Yeah I have spoken with them about delay & telephone operator said she will send my case to escalation team because of standard period also collapsed now.

thanks again for your reply & hope for the best

well I've used this option for my wife recently and it took HO 7 days instead of declared 5 to take a decision. Also as advised above timescale can be changed based on many factors and this is mentioned on UKVI site where You can track Your application progress.

I also have the same issue with the home office. I applied for my tier 2 visa( main plus 1 dependant) on priority and 15 working days have passed since biometrics. It was escalated exactly 5 working days ago.
Called home office and they keep saying decision has been reached about 3 weeks ago. They asked I wait for about 10 to 15 working days after escalation for a response.
I really do not know what is causing this delay or what to do now.

You all should provide your evidence to HO here

announces/call-for-evidence-home-office ... 58174.html

Go through and please post your cases as evidence. At least it will help future applicants or may be even you
