New passport on Tier 2 visa

Hi there,

Can someone please advise me whether we need to inform the Home Office if the old passport which Tier 2 was issued on has been replaced with a new passport due to expiry, and if there is a time limit by when they need to be notified by?

I will be applying for an extension soon; my new passport was updated in November last year. Will it affect the extension application in any way?

I think as long as you send your old passport along with your new passport, you will be fine
