Hopefully this is true! Can't wait.
I called today and got the same response that the next ceremony is fixed on 26/11/2018 at Killarney. She further added that this is going to be a very big ceremony with a very large number of participants as the volume of application is quite high. It all makes sense, but knowing INIS replies on phone, do I fully trust their such statements? absolutely not

Folks, I am wondering if you all have received your approvals already or you are waiting for it. What was the last progress in your application
Thanks
@Syjem: For me, I am still waiting for my approval. Applied in September 2017. Got second stage letter in 3 days and then ever since nothing from INIS. My application went into final stage last March, then out of the office for Minister approval in April, and then somehow it returned back to the second stage in May and it was in the second stage till now. But today I was informed that it is now in the well-advanced stage.
Hope you hear some good news soon. I am also waiting for my approval. I have submitted my application two years ago and just last June I have been told that my application is at advanced stage so will see

Finally some good news about the next ceremony:). Did they say about when they would make an official announcement on the date?
Hopefully this is true! Can't wait.

Hey! I applied in February and got the second stage letter after one week. Haven't heard anything since. They also didn't ask for any more docs, thankfully. Just hope to go to the next ceremony.

I applied in july 2016
got second stage letter in feb 2017
in march 2018 I was told my application is ready for submission
in june 2018 some how my application get back to further processing
since then I call them every two or 3 weeks and get same answer they are waiting for garda reports and final checks.
im living in Ireland for past 13 years never got into garda adverse attention no traffic offense no court nothing full time employed pay higher band tax!
im not hopeful at all for this year as well.
they have to do 2 ceremonies at least otherwise thousands of applications will pile up so I think it will be in November cos that's the latest they can delay for this year.

I asked about the ceremony date during a telephonic inquiry last week and the lady on the phone said, the date for next ceremony is finalized at 26/11/2018 at Killarney. But every person at INIS has a different story to tell when talking to them on phone, so nothing is certain...

Hi Kavin. Would you mind to let me know please when did you send them 950 and GNIb Card after that did you get any correspondence. I mean money receipt with letter stating they have got your GNIb. Coz I did not get any correspondence from Dep.
Thanks Kavin.

I think they will only start sending out approvals when the new date is published on the website. There are many people on the second stage already since Jan/Feb who haven't heard from them since...

Today I learned that 3 people who applied in December 2017, February 2018 and May 2018 have received their approval letter.. so they have started sending approvals already. I applied in Oct 2017, second stage since November and every time I ring them get the same update "final stage, still processing".

Yeah... hard to understand how they work. I guess it depends which hands you application falls on. Also, if they are sending approval as quick as 3 months they cant really use the Brexit backlog excuse. Guess we just have to wait and hope we make it to the next ceremony. I rang last week and the lady on the phone said she only had access to my “digital file” and could not provide any details apart from “it looks good” and “still processing”.

Oh that's really sad. They could invited you to take the last ceremony if they want. But they don't care at all. I don't how long my one will take.
Anyway thanks Kavin....

I was just checking your post saying that there is no date for this year, but to be honest I doubt there wouldn't be a date for this year. There are many people waiting for the approval, so it makes no sense to have only one ceremony in the year and they never had that. Also, the money we generate for them by paying €950 each is definitely taken into consideration.

I dont think money is a criteria for consideration in this case, a delay only means all the people who are close to renewing their GNIB/IRP cards will fork an additional 300 quids on top of the 950 you pay to get naturalized.

And also one thing if they will wait for next year they could save the millions money. Just think for 1 ceremony they have to spend lots of money. So if they wait for next year then they can save lots of money they want to do 2 ceremony instead of one time. Just make sense...

Seems unlikely that there could be only 1 ceremony this year. I really wish there would be another one ceremony planned this year.

Just wondering if anyone sent an email to the department recently. If so, did you receive the automated acknowledgment email before you got a response from them? I sent one this morning, but I haven’t gotten an acknowledgement.

Just to add also it is planned that a ceremony will be held towards the end of the year. I was not told the exact date.
