tier-2 to tier 4 and again back to tier 2. How does ILR work for me

Hi,

I have been living in the UK since March 2014. The details of my visas are as follows:

1st tier-2 leave to enter -- granted 06/03/2014 (I was in Pakistan at that time)
travelled to the UK on -- 15/03/2014
visa ending date -- 28/02/2017

then I could not get another tier-2 visa in time, so had to move to tier-4
tier - 4 visa issued -- 22/03/2017
ending date -- 28/06/2018

Then I got another sponsorship for tier-2 as
tier - 2 visa issued -- 18/01/2018
tier - 2 visa ending date -- 21/07/2020

Can you please advise me if I can apply for ILR within this tier-2 visa by counting my tier-2 continuous years from august 2014 and split my 180 days (within any year) between two years by justifying the break in my tier-2 visa ?????
or if any other possibility exists ??????

1. You can no longer split absence I to 3 years. The rules changed in January.

2. No you cannot use the tier 2 time like that. Your 5 years for ILR starts from your new tier 2. Previous time on Tier2 is lost now for ILR based I
On 5 years residence as your clock has rest to zero by apply for tier 4 and then tier 2 again.
