Hello everyone,

Date of application: 7 July 2018
Date of bio-metrics: 9 July 2018
Application received by Sheffield Decision Making Centre: 10 July 2018

They emailed me for TB certificate on 12th of July but I forgot to check my email and they emailed me again yesterday. The thing is I'm from Saudi Arabia and TB testing is not required. I think Home Office made a mistake.

I have contacted them and received no replies. I am very worried, I don't know what is going to happen. :(
For those interested to know the updates, received decision email yesterday, and VFS SMS for passport collection today. I opted for courier so I will receive my passport soon, hopefully.

I don't know yet what is the decision. Fingers crossed.
Good news, I got the visa today. It took 29 days, happy to answer any questions.

Thank you all, and I wish you the best of luck.
Big Congrats! :D

Hey guys
I'm here again lol. I've just received an email from TLScontact that my passport is ready for collection. No email from UKVI yet though.
I will be going for my passport tomorrow, Godwilling.
Although the ISA at my uni said my visa has been issued, I'm still excited to really see the vignette in my passport :D

:D

Hi everyone!
Just wanted to share my timeline:

Online application: 10th July
Biometrics (no interview, maybe because I´m a low risk national?): 18th July
Automated email: 25th July (mentioned that my application is currently being prepared for consideration by ECO)
And that would be all.
Called today to UKVI to check the status of my application even though there´s been less than 15 working days (a bit anxious I know :D ), and they told me that my application hasn´t been analyzed yet.
This waiting game is killing me haha, let´s hope is for the best!

cheers!
Hi everyone! just an update, as of today it´s been 16 working days since my biometrics and no news at all. I contacted the immigration department from my U and they told me that they can´t do anything until the "standard processing times" are breached, and that standard applications usually take from 6 to 8 weeks since the application date. They also told me that priority visas are nowadays taking 15 working days average.

Hey guys

I’m also waiting for an answer over my application.
Follow my timeline:
03 July: online application (priority service)
11 July: attended the interview and handed the documents at VFS São Paulo
17 July: got the confirmation that the application was being prepared for consideration of an ECO

Since then I haven’t heared anything else from the office.
My next plan is to ask the uni if my cas has already been used, and afterwards call UKVI directly, since it’s been 15 working days since they received my application.

Hope we all get our visas guys, good luck to you all that are still waiting as I am!
Cheers
Hey guys

Quick update: yesterday I've received a text message saying "The processed visa application for GWF... was received on 8/8/2018". Did not get any other e-mail or information at all.

To be honest I do not know what it means, since it doesn't say clearly that a decision has been made.
Did someone receive the same text?
I have tried to find some way to contact the VAC to ask them about the application, but didn't find it.

Good luck to us all!

It does say "processed" so clearly been decided.

It is a standard notification and you will only know outcome once you collect passport.

I believe that waiting is what is left for me. My passport is going to be posted, and as I live in the countryside it may take a few days to reach me.

If they're interviewing you for the second time then they definitely have doubts on your application. It will be a good start to prepare more convincing answers (just in case they ask you the same questions as in your 1st interview) and also make sure what you say don't contradict what you said in the first interview

Hi Everyone!

This is my timeline ( standard route)

Biometrics + Interview: 26th July

No communication from UKVI till now. Expecting to get the Visa outcome by next week.

After reading about a few genuine student interview outcomes in this forum, I have been overthinking about my interview. For example, when asked- did you apply to any other universities? I answered- No, because this is the only University which offers a course on 'XYZ'. Also, because a professor ( of this XYZ subject) of mine from my previous college had recommended me this particular university in UK as its the best.

Further, when asked about my future plans, i told the official that- I would come back to my home country and work in the 'XYZ' sector as a researcher or a consultant. Btw I also told them in the beginning that i have been working in this 'XYZ' sector for the past 2 years in my home country.

Btw, I have also scored a part scholarship from the university so does that make my visa application stronger? Because I am sure the visa officials also know that scholarship is provided to only credible students. I maybe wrong here though.

Please let me know what you guys think of the same! Thanks in advance!

1. Ranking of other universities: It is okay if you don't know the exact position of each university but at least you should be able to estimate the academic reputation of each university you're applying to
2. Name of universities you applied to and their differences: If you really applied to other universities it would be easy to know the differences; courses, teaching style, facilities, etc
3. Future plan and why you choose the UK: really, I don't think should be hard to answer

Most of us got asked these same questions, these questions are not difficult it just depends on how you answered them.
Cheer up, all the best
