Tier 2 General switch: Priority Service

Post by r_p_t » Wed Jun 20, 2018 1:54 pm

Hi,

I was just wondering when the earliest anyone has received their Tier 2 General VISA.

Note: I am applying for a tier 2 switch from a tier 4 WITHIN UK.

I finished my application on Friday (15 June 2018) and had my biometrics taken. On Monday (18 June 2018), all the required documents were received at the HO. The GOV UK website said I can expect a decision within 10 days, but I really am impatient because I have some errands to run back home.

Has anyone received their decision sooner than 10 working days?

Thanks in advance.

I got mine within 5 working days. (T2 switch from one to another around 2 months ago)
But don't make any travel plans till you have your BRP in your hand. We never know!

Good Luck!

Thanks, @crazy_p for your reply.

So, how is the process like? Do you receive an e-mail stating your decision has been made, and then the documents are sent? Or, do you just receive your documents along with the VISA?

So, just to be clear -- they don't send an email but just the approval letter and then the BRP card, am I right?

Did you receive your approval letter in 5 working days or your BRP in 5 working days?

Thanks

Approval letter in 5 days. BRP card takes 7-10 days AFTER approval, sometimes longer.

DX courier issue (BRP)

Post by r_p_t » Mon Jul 02, 2018 11:48 am

Hi,

I am supposed to receive my BRP card via DX courier today. Although, upon tracking my package, the website reads, ''item delivered and is signed for".
But the issue is, the item has not been received.

Has anyone here had a similar experience before? Any suggestions on how to solve this?

Thanks and regards.

Yes, they say that I have to speak to the Home Office.
But, I don't understand. Why does it say it has been delivered.

Ask for proof of delivery.

Best if you can explain what happened and how you got that sorted. Was it delivered to a safe place or? They tried the second attempt??

There will be many people like you in the future and they will search your topic as you did prior posting this. So it is good to close / stop a topic with a proper explanation as it will help many. Just my idea. Good Luck!
