Hello!
This is my first post so apologies if it's in the wrong section or has been asked before.
I am the sponsor on my wife's application for ILR and we have an appointment for that towards the middle of this month.
My wife is part-time employed but doesn't meet the financial threshold of £18,600 through her salary from that alone. However I run my own business which I do as a director of a limited company and with my salary we go over the threshold and with dividend income we go comfortably over the threshold.
The issue we have is that the current year end for my business is 31 July and so we won't have the CT600 for 17/18 until after our appointment date and the CT600 from 16/17 is fairly light financially and i'd prefer not to rely on that. So I have asked my accountant to change my year end of June but that will give us a CT600 that is only 11 months in duration rather than a full financial year. I am concerned that the guidance notes asks for a 12-month period with regards the CT600 and that whilst my financials are good whether this shortened period of accounts could be a problem.
I wondered if anyone had any thoughts or experience with a problem like this?
Thanks in advance!!
