Once RCoS is granted by HO, employer has to assign it to you and share the CoS with you.

Once you get your CoS, you can then proceed to file your visa.

44 points COS granted - non-SOL, non-NHS, non-PHD

My employer just told me and wanted to tell you all straight away as I've been on these boards constantly over the past few months - although I haven't posted much I've read and appreciated all your comments knowing we were all in the same boat so thank you.

Good luck to the rest of you and I hope you get positive information soon!!

If 44 or lets say 45 gets cleared then can we expect points to come down to 30 by next month or may be by September.

Waiting since Jan 2018.

Finally, I am positing what I wanted to post here for the last 8 months:

RCoS granted, 50 points, non-sol, non-nhs, non-phd, non-milkround!

I have been stuck since December, and last 8 months have been most miserable 8 months of my life. There were lot of times when I was shattered by rejections, months after months after months! But only to pick myself up from those rejections to face next month's RCoS allocation. There was something in me that kept me going. Maybe it was the thought of a good life and career in the UK, or my love for the greatest city on earth - London or maybe it was the never say never attitude, that I am born with. But I never accepted the defeat!

To top it all, I was at the end of never ending questions thrown at me by family and close friends about my move to the UK. Very few understood the excruciating pain I was in, because of these terrible circumstances. I have never been to prison, but these 8 months were nothing short of a prison sentence for me. I was confined to the isolation of my melancholy, which no body could understand. Not even my closed ones! That's when I found this discussion board. At least now I was interacting with a bunch of people who were in similar position as me, and understood the pain.

Thanks to all you amazing people for being there. You guys helped me survive these gloomy 8 months. I can't thank you enough.

Regards,
Blitzkrieg333
Thanks. :)

Hi all :)

I’ve been lurking for days during this rather stressful experience.

I have a few questions since I’m new to this whole process. What does non-sol mean?

Secondly, you’re all seeming to know your points but when I asked my employer (a secondary school) about this she said she didn’t know.

I tried looking it up online but so many different websites have different points.

My employer did the RLMT since my teaching position isn’t on the shortage list. I am being paid the appropriate salary for my job which is £29,878 per annum. So, based on that how many points should I have?

Also, we put this through at the end of May so it would go through in June, however, we were told on 21 June that they required my contract and my passport and current biometrics card. That then changed my application to under review. It is now pending, is this a good sign? Obviously, since the school year starts 3 September I am starting to worry I won’t be here in time. Does anybody have any advice?

Sorry for the long message! I thank you all in advance.

I have a few questions since I’m new to this whole process. What does non-sol mean? Non Shortage Occupation List job.

Secondly, you’re all seeming to know your points but when I asked my employer (a secondary school) about this she said she didn’t know. It depends what your salary is.

My employer did the RLMT since my teaching position isn’t on the shortage list. I am being paid the appropriate salary for my job which is £29,878 per annum. So, based on that how many points should I have? See salary table below. RLMT is 20 points.

Are you sure that's the salary you'll be getting? You have to be making £30,000 a year to qualify if your job is not on the shortage list. Do you have extra guaranteed allowances? What year are you teaching?

The table here isn't as cut and dry for teachers, so I can't tell if there is a 'new entrant' position for under 26 teachers?

No there is no "general" thread. Start your own topic with your specific questions.

Hi,
Is there a separate thread for discussion on visa & Visa related issues ? If yes, please share the name of the thread.

Pick one if applicable or start your own, I’m sure people will help you.

It’s to prevent duplication of information and keep this thread clear for results.

The home office website is also packed with all the information you need, just have a look.

Congrats if you’ve gotten this far!

Snap, the Mod beat me :p
