Good luck on your appointment on Monday! I'm going to apply for my ILR SET(M) next week as well, but via postal application. I was hoping someone could advise whether I need to send copies of all documents? And more importantly, what exactly are the requirements for the bank statements? I bank with first direct, they sent me the last 6 months statements with a cover letter signed, but nothing signed or stamped on the actual statements. Will this be ok? Many thanks!

2.27 Do you or your partner have any shared financial responsibilities?
Yes, provide details below:
Don't know what is exactly the meaning of this question, is it things like rent, food, clothing and kids stuff?
Any shared financial responsibilities.
Section 6 BRP it asks:

7. Have you had your fingerprints taken as part of a previous United Kingdom immigration
application made in the United Kingdom or abroad?
8. Give details when your fingerprints were taken:
9. Give details where your fingerprints were taken, including the town or city and country:
10. Give details of the British diplomatic post(s) involved if the application(s) was/were made abroad:
These ask about my last BRP right, so for:
7. Yes
8. don't remember the date but it was december 2015, is that ok
9. I have the post office address i did
10. do i ignore this question?
7. Correct
8. Month and year is fine
9. Just state Post Office and town.
10. Correct.
When combined does your annual income and your sponsor’s annual income from current employment
meet or exceed the minimum income threshold you must meet?
Yes
Correct
You or your sponsor must have been employed by the same employer for 6 months prior to the application and your combined total earnings must meet the specified amount at 8.3A (xiv) for this 6 month period. If not, does you and your sponsors income from salaried employment received in the 12 months prior to application meet or exceed the minimum income threshold you must meet?
It's Yes or No question, not sure what to tick? My sponsor has been with the same employer since 2009.
Yes.
SECTION 8B: MAINTENANCE
You must complete this section if:
(i) You were granted leave to enter or remain as a partner under Part 8 of the Immigration Rules following
an application submitted before 9 July 2012.
(ii) You are applying as a partner under Appendix FM and you qualify for an exemption from meeting the
minimum income threshold element of the financial requirement.
(iii) You are applying as the parent of a child who is settled in the UK.
You must provide evidence that your sponsor (or you if you are applying as a parent) is able to adequately
maintain you and any dependants in the United Kingdom without recourse to public funds.
All applicants must provide specified evidence set out in Appendix FM-SE of the Immigration Rules unless
they have had leave under Part 8 of the Immigration Rules before 9 July 2012. For further details see
SET(M) guidance notes.
Do we have to fill in this section?
Not relevant.
9.13 How long have you lived in the UK?
From 18/04/2013 to today is 5 years and 2 months
Correct.
11.1 Is your valid passport, national identity card or travel document enclosed?
11.1.1 Which document are you providing? (please tick at least one box):
Passport
Travel document
National identity card
We tick passport, this is separate the BRP right?, as its not in the list and has a separate section
.
Correct.
11.5 Have you enclosed the valid passport, national identity card or travel document for a
dependant?

11.5.1 Which document are you providing? (please tick at least one box)
Passport
Travel document
National identity card
This is the same question and we tick passport again, correct?
[/quote]
It does say 'Dependent' so if you have none applying with you, then leave blank.

Any shared financial responsibilities.
Nothing much between us really, apart from the kids. so I can say No.
Children
If you have children under the age of 18 in the UK (or children who are over 18 and who have been granted
leave in this category as your dependent), you must provide the following documents for each child:

Passports/travel documents to confirm your child’s immigration, settlement or citizenship status.

Biometric residence permit if your child has been issued with one since entering the UK.
I think this will apply to us as well? we are taking their passports and birth certificate anyway.

Evidence of where your child/children normally lives and thay you and/or your partner play an active
role in their upbringing. This evidence should be dated within the last three months and can include: -
• Official correspondence addressed to the child/children;
• Doctor’s/hospital letters on official headed paper stating the child’s/children’s registered address;
• School/nursery letter(s) on headed paperstating the child’s/children’s registered address.
We have few NHS and GP letters for each one, but not dated in the last 3 months.
If you have access rights to your child a court document issued by the courts showing your access
rights; and/or evidence from your former partner that you have access rights.
Evidence of your and/or any partner’s parental responsibility for the child/children.
Evidence of where you and/or any partner lives, as the parent of the child/children.
Evidence of anything else you would like us to consider regarding your child’s life, both in the UK and
outside the UK
I don't this applies to us?

Another question I hear people say we have to photocopy Everything, is that true or Just the official documents like passports, BRP and marriage certificate?

Your answers to the rest are fine/correct.

Yes, you have to take photocopies of everything, as the form clearly states.

2.3 When did your relationship begin?
Is this the day we first met or the date we got married? We put the date we got married because we were in touch by phone from the day we met until marriage day.
2.5 How long have you been living in rarelationship?
Date we got married or date we moved in together?
2.6 When did you begin living together?
Definitely the date we started living together

(iii) Have you/your sponsor been in employment
with the same employer and earning the amount
specified in (xiv) below continuously for 6 months
prior to the date of the application? (category A)
Sponsor got promotion in June and June salary was backdated from Feb 2018, so do we answer no here? its not been 6 months on the current salary.
(xiv) says:
What is your/your sponsor’s annual income
from your or their current employment before tax
(£)?

Have you read the Set(M) guidance notes at all???

2.3 If it asks when relationship started, it means exactly that. It is not asking date you married in the questions you have posted.

2.5 clearly says 'living in a relationship'.

Yes we have but the question are quite vague and repeated, thanks for that! We have answered those thanks!

Can you advice on the below please:
iii) Have you/your sponsor been in employment with the same employer and earning the amount
specified in (xiv) below continuously for 6 months
prior to the date of the application? (category A)
Sponsor seen with the same employer since 2009 but got promotion in June and June salary was backdated from Feb 2018, so do we answer no here? its not been 6 months on the current salary. We have a letter from HR that says after promotion in June salary was backdated from Feb 2018.

(xiv) says:
What is your/your sponsor’s annual income
from your or their current employment before tax
(£)?
We put the current earning.

Thank you so much.

I can't comment on the financial requirement in your circumstances unfortunately. Moderator Casa will probably be better to advise.

You are over thinking this.

Presumably even before the promotion he met the financial requirement. He has clearly been employed and met the requirement for more than 6 months. A promotion is not going to affect the application.

As I am on my mobile and not in a position to scroll through the whole topic, how many payslips are you submitting?
