Naturalization discretion (working for international organization abroad)

Post by txaltxo » Fri Jul 20, 2018 7:38 am

Hi,
Does anyone have experience in submitting an application for naturalization while living overseas and working in an international organization? I know that the guidelines for naturalization under discretion reflect this option but now sure whether I would have good chances or not (specially if this international organization is a EU dependent agency!).
I fulfil all the other requirements and was granted ILR. However I am currently living overseas (working for EU agency) so I would not meet the residence requirement and would have to apply as posted in international organization overseas.
Anyone with similar experience? are these cases usually granted or rejected?
Thanks in advance!

I am not familiar with the subject, however, are you employed directly by the EU agency or posted there by the UK government? This may make a difference but experts would need to advise.
