Dear all

I thought i update the timeline of a friend.

Dv iLR applied : September 2019. ( proof of DV including police report. Report from victim support. Report from GP. Report from homeless charity that he is staying with them at a men refuge centre. )

HO requested updated in march 2020 asking for updated police report and his current residential status if he was still staying at the refuge. Also requested is updated doctors report.

His fees was waved off since he had no means to pay.

20th may. Received email from caseworker ILR granted. And BRP on its way.

Finally his message to all victims of DV is keep strong faith in Uk justice system and get all the evidences in place. Any questions i will be happy to lass it over to him.
Hello Good to hear that your friend received positive result.
Could I please ask what was the outcome of the police report ? did they charge your friend's partner ?

I am at the same situation and received police report back. Not very happy with the report and wording used in this. They put common assault and battery and closed the case. Just wondering it might effect the set dv case.

Dear all,

I’m the victim of domestic violence, I’m getting all the evidence to support SET DV application from police, GP, domestic violence angency etc.

Could any one please suggest how to submit all the evidence to home office ? Do they all needs to be uploaded online application or I can post them ?

Looking forward to hearing from you all, your help much appreciated.

Many thanks
Hello Ashmit
After submitting the set dv application online. Next step on the screen will be to download the form. And that form will clear how to submit the documents. You can submit via email or by post address will be written on the form .
Have you submitted the application?

Could you please tell about your case and evidences you have. It will help other who are in the same situation like me thanks

I’m in same situation, waiting for update from HO. I used a solicitor but only submitted a final non mol order from the family court. Has anyone submitted something similar? Is really nerve racking waiting. Good luck to us

All what i got was a letter from HMRC saying that the home office have confirmed that i am habitually resident in the UK and my universal credit payments should continue because they have granted me indefinite leave to remain. This has confused me because its been 3 months since that letter and still haven't heard from home office.
And yes i have applied for DDV concession first then SET DV
Thanks for your reply.

That's quite weird as how come the HMRC confirmed your application for ILR but the Home Office has not confirmed it yet.

When did you receive the letter from HMRC,
What do you mean by habitual residency
When did you apply for DDV? And how long did you wait for their response?
Did you apply for ILR straight after receiving DDV?
When are you applying for citizenship or naturalisation if ever you have the positive result of your ILR set DV application? Is it after a year?

Sorry if I have so many questions.

Hope it will be over soon. Please let me know when you receive your application result.

Thanks again.
Congrats bobbybob56, how long did you have to wait in total

No, didn't receive any type of confirmation letter from the HO. The only communication was in regards to the Biometrics. Rather ticks me off that you pay so much money and receive such poor service. In the private world you would be out of business before you knew it. Anyway, I'll drop a note if anything happens.....

Cheers
Thank you.

I will let you know as well if I receive any updates with my application.
Was it 25th April 2019 you submitted?

It could be either one. It must be written on your non mol order if it is with or without finding facts. Non molestation order with finding facts considered as conclusive evidence.
Do you have physical abuse as well ? Or only verbal and emotional?

Hi, you don't need to take anything with you beside biomectric letter which has got bar code to scan at the post office before your Biometic enrollment.

Hi everyone,

I`ve done my biometric just today.
My solicitor submitted loads of supporting documents including police disclosure for two different incidents, Non-Molestation order(not the ex-parte one), letter from DV support worker and letter from the DV outreach worker plus that my case has been heard in MARAC urgently.
Hopefully, it is not gonna take a long time to receive DV ILR.
I pray for every one who has been waiting to get it sorted out soon.

Hi Hudah,

Can you tell us which sort of supporting documents you posted for your visa?
I think it is very helpful for us to know that.

Everyone is silent here, has anyone heard any update regarding DV Visa application? I assume that because of the lockdown, it might take longer than usual.
Sharing you timeline could be always helpful.

Well! Which sort of documents did you send through your application? I`ve heard that DV ILR is not usually an straightforward application and it could take six months time. However, some people got the result in less than 3 months. I think it is very different case by case.
