Guys my application has past 6 months processing time. My solicitor was contacted twice in the past 2 months asking for additional documents.
Now my solicitor says we can’t do anything we just have to wait. Was anyone in a similar situation?
I’m so anxious & annoyed with the whole situation.
Please advise what can be done.
What additional documents home office said to you to send it?? Please reply me
Which evidence you provide

Yes same for me. They contacted 2 months ago asking for additional documents like GP letter which I hadn't included previously. They said they would make the decision in 28 days 2 months ago and I am almost near 6 months window. My own assessment is that the delay is due to this e-visa thing they are rolling out but I can be wrong. What documents you were asked?

Did you use a solicitor? What advice has your solicitor given if your case crosses the 6 month timeline?
They wanted to see evidence of my financial situation, letter from a DV institute I mentioned in my application.

Yes I do have a solicitor... he's probably gonna chase them if it's well over the 6 months. Homeoffice said 2 months ago that wlthey will aim to make decision in 28 days which would have been by 5th April.

When is your application due?
My solicitor refuses to chase the home office… she says we can only challenge home office if the delay has any detrimental impact on me. I’m so disheartened seems as if I have no support from my solicitor.

Hello, You can chase them up by yourself if you pass the 6 months time, there is an email address for complaints about delays or anything else. If you put on Google search home office complaints email Adress it will show up and you can contact them directly. Remember to include your name, Dob and application reference number so they can process your complaint. Please let us know about any updates. Good luck

I don't see any harm in chasing! Not sure why does your solicitor think otherwise?

I sent an email to complaints. Usually how long do they take to respond?

It's really very stressful thinking what will happen if it gets refused. I have a daughter I can apply for parent visa if the ilr gets refused but I found out that the parent visa takes 12 months to be decided and I have no where to stay at me and my daughter and I can't work or have access to public funds while waiting for the parent visa. This is really bad how they take so long for some work that might take only 1 week.
